Preheat oven to 375° F.


On foil, press out hamburger patties. Season with salt and pepper, then slice beets, potatoes, squash and onions (and any other vegetable you have on hand). Layer vegetables on top of hamburger patties, then fold foil around and over to create a pouch. Place on cookie sheet and bake until vegetables are cooked through (usually between 45 minutes to an hour)
Can also be cooked on the grill.

(For a meat-free version, eliminate the hamburger and put a dash of olive oil on the foil before adding the vegetables.)
